Last 16 of Hun Sen Cup decided after qualifiers

The 2015 Hun Sen Cup regional qualifying campaign wrapped up yesterday as eight teams qualified for the last 16 after competing for the final qualifying places in the Phnom Penh and Eastern areas.

Kratie province from the Northern area and Battambang province from the West qualified automatically as there were no other teams to join their areas. National Defence won group A, while Kirivong Sok Sen Chey defeated Albirex Niigata 1-0 to top group B. Albirex, however, beat Prekbra Keyla 1-0 in their runners-up playoff.

Prey Veng qualified from group C, as did Siem Reap province from group D. Kampot made it through Group F. The qualified teams will now join eight from the Metfone C-League in the last 16.
