An arduous gameweek 27 punctuated by the magic of the FA Cup yielded some impressive hauls in the PPP/CTN Fantasy League. Many managers made the most of the four extra fixtures to achieve centurion status.

The Dream team was crammed with Newcastle and Arsenal defenders who notched a double of clean sheets, while Blackpool’s irreplaceable Charlie Adam top earned with 16 points for his goal, assist and 5-point bonus bagging over two matches.

The weekly winner of the US$20 phone voucher and T-shirt from sponsors Cellcard will be winging it’s way to Anthony Perkins for his tally of 116 with team Cambodge Hammer. Perkins picks included a captain choice of Arsenal’s Robin van Persie, who could’ve done even better than his 13 points for a brace against Wolves if only he hadn’t have got injured for the second game.

Perkins also fielded Newcastle’s Steve Harper (12) and Sanchez Jose Enrique (15) and Blackpool’s DJ Campbell (11) and Charlie Adam to hammer home his advantage.

From an elongated gameweek 27 to a stinted gameweek 28 featuring nine ties that culminate in Tuesday night’s blockbuster between Chelsea and Man United.

Arsenal, Birmingham and Spurs are not in action, while the Red Devils play twice. Transfer deadline is Saturday at 6:30pm.
