Juice Master United, comprising of players from Chak Kropop Po Monkol School, scored a 7-3 win over Sunrise on Sunday in the only under-14 boys champions league match played at the National Institute of Sports and Physical Education grounds as part of the Indochina Starfish Foundation Barclays Youth Football League.

None of the 10 teams in the under-14 boys premier league event could keep their sheets clean as the five-match card produced plenty of drama and some close calls.

A New Day Cambodia had a wonderful outing, thrillingly nosing out Scherini FC 5-4 in one of the tightest games seen on the day. Equally exciting was Cains Advocates’ 6-4 victory over The Blue Flag.

In other matches, The Flying Tigers beat Appleton Wildcats 8-1, Mekong Rangers got the better of Juice Master United 5-3, and Kew Park Rangers edged out New Hope 2-1.

There was double delight for the Seasiders in the under-10 boys class. While Seasiders 1 beat the Flying Tigers 9-1, the Seasiders second string trounced ISF CAC 11-0.

Blue Eagles were on the right side of a 15-goal affair, winning 9-6 against Robas Rangers, while Malu Lions got past MJB 11-4. Hagar and Cains Advocates played out a two-all draw.

In the under-18 girls division, The Blue Eagles and ANDC Bulls were locked in a hard fought 1-1 draw.

Chak Kropop Po Monkol saw their sides win one and lose one in the under-14 girls section, with their second team scoring a 7-0 win over SocceRoos, while Sunrise narrowly defeated the first team 5-4.

In other games, The Flying Tigers returned 3-1 winners over Ruby Murray’s Ladies, Northbridge Nomads disposed of CS Larrikins 8-2 and Taylor made were made to work hard for their 8-5 win over Super Sonics.
