A sweltering day in the sun saw some hard fought and physically demanding battles at KB All-Sport Field on Sunday for the 2014 Phnom Penh 5s tournament.
Sixteen teams played out games in the group stage during the morning, with the top teams of each of the four groups progressing to afternoon knockout rounds of the PP Trophy, while the lower two teams went through to the Community Cup.
In the trophy final, True Brands overcame last year’s champions Bayon Wanderers 4-1. Sundance, meanwhile, blew away Paddy Rice 12-2 in the third place playoff.
And KFG Wednesday, sponsored by 3 Mangos, emerged winners of the Community Cup with a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Barbarians after their game ended locked at 3-3.
