Strong start to drunk of the year competition

A mean-spirited drunk raised a ruckus in Kampong Cham town on Wednesday. Police said the man, a Prey Veng native, had come to town to visit family, and managed to get spectacularly soused with his travelling companion.

After skipping out on the bill at the shop where they were pounding booze, the man picked up some stones and began hurling them at passing motorists, leaving some injured. Police came along, scooped up the drunken lout, and hauled him off to court. DEUM AMPIL
