Sullen samurai: envy provokes sword attack

A man didn’t exactly live up to the honour of the bushido code after he reportedly used a samurai sword to seriously injure another man out of jealousy in Kratie town on Monday.

Both men were attending a party when the suspect saw the victim speak to his girlfriend, police said. The next morning, the suspect allegedly found the victim’s house and slashed him on the back.

Neighbours came out to halt the attack and filed a complaint to police, who arrested him soon thereafter. DEUM AMPIL
