Thief’s new ride not fit for a speedy getaway

No doubt cursing his poor luck after his moto engine blew, a Kampong Cham town man’s day was about to get considerably worse on Saturday.

Police said as he waited with the moto by the side of the road, a man on a bicycle pedalled in out of nowhere and clobbered him on the head.

Thinking he was about to upgrade, the man ditched his bicycle and mounted the moto only to find out it wasn’t working. Local traffic police saw the scene unfold and had the suspect in cuffs within minutes. DEUM AMPIL
