Joe Freeman has reported from the Arab world and the southern United States. He joined the Post as a national news reporter in 2012, covering politics and the Khmer Rouge tribunal. He has written features about underwater demining, royal funeral traditions, and Khmer Rouge history. In June, 2013, he became editor of the paper's English language business desk. In his spare time he consumes vast quantities of fiction and history, and he was once a nationally ranked tennis player.
