The Banker praises ABA as Cambodia's Bank of the Year for the fifth time

ABA Bank, the largest Cambodian commercial bank by total assets, gross loans, customer deposits, and profitability based on the National Bank of Cambodia’s Annual Supervision Report 2021, attained the prestigious"Bank of the Year 2022 in Cambodia" award from The Banker, the world's premier banking and financial affairs publication of Financial Times Group (London, UK) for the fifth time.The magazine celebrated and announced the winners this year at its annual ceremony in London.

ABA Bank was highly praised for overhauling its consumer banking services and its strategic focus on innovative technologies and digital services.

In 2022, the Bank significantly enhanced its mobile banking application to offer even more seamless service. The app received the ABA QR feature integrated with the Cambodian national KHQR code standard. It allows ABA customers to receive payments from other local banks within the National Bank of Cambodia's Bakong payment system free of charge.

The bank's customers who are Payroll user scan now benefit from Salary Loan in ABA Mobile. This feature provides instant financing for personal use with no collateral requirements and offers the option of full loan repayment at anytime.

Recently, ABA introduced Junior Account on its app. It provides kids 10-17 years of age access to modern banking and cashless facilities through their own ABA Mobile app. Junior Account encourages children to build healthy financial habits early and understand the importance of saving.

The judges also praised the Bank's launch of the first in Cambodia self-service Card Machines. Customers of the bank are now able to order their international and local bank cards from the ABA Mobile app and then issue them from ABA Card Machine in under two minutes.The service proved very popular among ABA customers who have already issued 200,000 cards via Card Machines.

The Banker's award is the industry benchmark from the world's longest-running international banking publication, and ABA has collected its top-notch trophies in 2014, 2016, 2019, and 2021.

ABA Bank managed US$ 8.8 billion in total assets as of 30November 2022 and now reaches out to2.5 million customers through the extensive network of 85 branches, 1,000+ self-banking machines, and advanced business online banking and mobile banking platforms.
