Press Release: For Immediate Distribution

Phnom Penh, Cambodia

09 February 2022

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has changed education forever. The shift in ELT education practices has called for action from ELT educators around the world to reimagine, adapt and exchange teaching approaches to maximise learners’ experience during the current situation and beyond.

Last year, CamTESOL was hosted virtually for the first time in 16 years and attracted over 2,000 delegates from 40+ countries. Responding to this success, the 18th annual CamTESOL will be, once again, held VIRTUALLY on 18–20 February 2022, under the theme of ‘Changing Approaches and Expanding Dimensions in Global ELT’.

Established in 2005, CamTESOL is now one of the largest and most attractive TESOL conferences in the Asia-Pacific region with more than 1,700 delegates from over 30 countries attending annually.

Every year, over 500 Cambodian teachers from public and private institutions are sponsored to attend CamTESOL, an opportunity to gain practical knowledge and skills and network with education professionals from around the globe.

CamTESOL 2022 anticipates over 3,000 delegates and around 600 live presentations, panel discussions, and plenary talks for the 2022 virtual conference. The conference also looks forward to welcoming the plenary and featured speakers from Australia, New Zealand, UK, USA, Singapore and many other countries around the world.
