THE World Bank warned Monday that Cambodia’s prospects for economic recovery will be largely dependent on the environment for international bank lending. In a new report on financing in the developing world, the Washington-based organisation maintained that the Kingdom experienced a GDP contraction of 2.2 percent last year with a projected 4.2 percent growth for 2010. Fiscal space remained limited in Cambodia and Laos, it added. The Kingdom experienced a narrowing of credit in the first quarter of last year.
