KEP will host its second trade fair from December 26 to 27, the Ministry of Commerce said in an announcement, an event designed to spur trade and economic development in the south of the country. The two-day fair was also a chance to further economic cooperation with neighbouring Vietnam, the ministry said, which lies about 20 kilometres east of the coastal province. In a bid to promote tourism in the area the authorities were planning boat racing and a music concert, the ministry added, along with a trade workshop.
