Wing and Wonderpass sign MoU to support tourism growth in Cambodia

Cambodia embracing Digital Tourism 4.0 with innovative technology and payment solutions from the partnership of Wing and Wonderpass

Wonderpass Technology Co Ltd signed a memorandum of understanding with Wing Money (Cambodia) Plc to work on a strategic partnership to boost digital payments in the modern age of digital tourism in Cambodia.

The groundbreaking agreement was signed by Wing Money (Cambodia) Plc CEO Manu Rajan and chairman of Wonderpass Technology Frederic H. Proulx, who is also chairman of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia.

The collaboration will promote payment technology through cashless payments, e-payments, wearable payment solutions, smart ticketing, as well as the digitalisation of tourist experiences during the post-Covid era.

“Digital solutions help tourists plan their travel and also help to make faster, safer and secure payments before, during and even after their travel in Cambodia with Wing’s innovative and large digital payments ecosystem and solutions.

“The partnership today will allow us to extend our digital payment solution and ecosystem to support the recovery of the tourism sector in Cambodia and help the country compete with the others in the region,” said Manu.

Wonderpass’s wristband allows the users to make cashless payments with a huge variety of merchants in Cambodia using Wing’s digital payment service.

“The global travel evolution, which is the Digital Tourism 4.0 plan, is a key area where Wonderpass can be an effective solution for Cambodian tourism businesses and operators as they work to stay competitive in the region by providing the smoothest and most convenient travel experience for tourists,” said Proulx.

Wonderpass is supported by the Ministry of Tourism to operate and advertise the ticketing system at Cambodia’s tourist sites and destinations by linking with websites and mobile applications of “Visit Cambodia” and “Kingdom of Wonder”.
