Minister of Women’s Affairs Ing Kantha Phavi requested that the French Development Agency (AFD) foster cooperation between the two institutions to encourage the possibility of securing inclusive loans for women entrepreneurs.

The request came as the minister met with Sandrine Boucher, AFD Cambodia director, on November 3.

During the meeting, the two sides shared their respective missions and exchanged experience with one another as part of the action plan implementation of the two institutions.

In a November 4 social media post, the Ministry of Women’s Affairs said: “We requested further cooperation between our ministry and the AFD and encouraged the possibility of entrepreneur women securing inclusive financial loans.”

The post announced that Kantha Phavi had also requested that the AFD foster cooperation on concrete projects and activities concerning women and entrepreneurship as well as on programmes to increase the women’s abilities in terms of digital financial inclusion.
