Hang Chuon Naron, minister of education, youth and sport, officially launched the Teach for Cambodia initiative on Friday. Teach for Cambodia is a local, independent initiative whose goal is that one day all children in Cambodia will have the opportunity to unleash their potential through improved access to a quality education. Adopting a global “teach for all” model now active in 46 countries – including Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam and now Cambodia – teach for Cambodia’s mission is to address the problem of educational inequity by enlisting the nation’s most dedicate, passionate future leaders in the effort.
