Save the Children programmes focus on Education, Health and Nutrition, Child Rights Governance, Child Protection, Child Poverty and Humanitarian responses. We work with government partners and local NGOs to improve children’s lives, especially marginalised and disadvantaged children. Save the Children is looking for high quality, motivated consultants or consultancy firms to fill various positions based in Phnom Penh, with travel to the field.
 
Positions Available and Qualifications:
1- Combined Formative Research and Project Baseline Consultant for Health and Nutrition (1 position)
Objective:
Save the Children is seeking a consultant, or consultancy firm, to conduct a combined formative research and baseline for the project “Saving Children’s Lives in Vulnerable Communities in Cambodia”.
 
Consultant(s) Qualifications:
• Advanced university degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Development, Social Sciences, Economics or related field of study or other relevant field; knowledge of nutrition issues in Cambodia;
• At least 3 years of working experience in development work of other relevant field, comfort working across cultures and familiarity with language translation issues;
• Prior experience in conducting quantitative and qualitative research studies, as well as demonstrated experience in leading research/evaluation teams;
• Experience in human-centered design data collection & analysis methods;
• Strong analytical and report writing skills;
• Quality of previously-written report (Evidenced from last 3 years).
 
2- Combined Documentation and Project Endline Study Consultant (1 position)
Objective:
The objective of this assignment is to conduct a combined documentation and endline study for the “Disaster Resilience through Improved Education and Livelihoods” (DRIEL) project, implemented in Koh Kong province.
 
Consultant(s) Qualifications:
• Advanced university degree in Development, Social Sciences, Economics or related field of study or other relevant field; knowledge of livelihoods and disaster risk reduction/climate change adaptation issues in Cambodia;
• At least 3 years of working experience in development work of other relevant field, comfort working across cultures and familiarity with language translation issues;
• Prior experience in conducting quantitative and qualitative research studies, as well as demonstrated experience in leading research/evaluation teams;
• Demonstrated expertise in livelihoods and youth employment; conceptual understanding of Save the Children’s Child Poverty thematic;
• Strong analytical, synthesis, and report writing skills;
• Quality of previously-written proposal or report (Evidenced from last 3 years).
