Individual Consultant Civil Engineer for civil works monitoring

 

The World Bank Cambodia health team is seeking to hire a locally recruited graduate civil engineer with experience of over 5 years, for field monitoring of construction including two provincial hospitals (Pailin Uddar Meachey), 15 maternity and obstetric care wards, and 45 health centers financed under the Health Equity and Quality Improvement Project (H-EQIP, 2016-20121) co-financed by the Royal Government of Cambodia, Australian Aid, German KfW, KOICA and World Bank. The development objective of H-EQIP is to improve access to quality health services for targeted population groups with protection against impoverishment due to the cost of health services in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

 

Duties of the consultant include reviewing the monthly progress reports submitted by Ministry of Health (MOH), preparing a list of concerns and follow up with the MoH on their remedial action, visiting the construction sites to check the construction quality, compliance against Environmental code of Practices, financial and physical progress as per schedules, preparing site visit reports and also a Deviation Tracker for each site with the MoH, and coordinating this work with the supervision consultant appointed by the MoH and the engineers in the MoH on all the technical matters.
