National Communications Consultant for World Bank Cambodia Office

The World Bank Group’s Country Partnership Framework (CPF) for Cambodia for FY19 – 23 has three focus areas: (i) promote state efficiency and boost private sector development; (ii) foster human development; and (iii) improve agricultural productivity and the sustainable use of natural resources. A critical cross-cutting theme, which underpins reforms in all three focus areas, is that of governance, institutions, and citizen engagement – is embedded in all World Bank Group-financed activities.
To support these focus areas, the World Bank is currently working with the government to implement a number of projects and supporting policy interventions that involve a wide range of stakeholders, including local communities.
Strategic communications and stakeholder engagement are critical elements for effective and successful design and implementation of these projects and related activities. The World Bank is seeking the services of an individual national consultant who will help design and implement various communication and stakeholder engagement activities to support the Bank’s Country Management Unit and relevant project/program teams. These would include supporting dissemination, outreach, and stakeholder engagement activities; developing and helping maintain communication platforms such as social media channels and websites; monitoring information/communication activities; developing multimedia products; and supporting Bank project teams.
This assignment will involve an initial contract of 50 days during the period of January 20, 2022 to February 1, 2022. The number of days is subject to change depending on the type, format, and number of activities/tasks to be implemented.
The successful candidate will be a communication professional with a minimum of six years of experience in the field of communication and development projects/programs. S/he will have the ability to interact effectively across socio-political, economic, and cultural affiliations.
