Development Cooperation Liaison and Administrative Support Officer (Locally Engaged Staff – Level 3)

  The Australian Embassy is seeking applications for a Development Cooperation Liaison and Administrative Support Officer. At least one vacancy will be filled through this process, with suitable candidates merit listed for future vacancies.   The Development Cooperation Liaison and Administrative Support Officer will provide support across the Australian Embassy in Phnom Penh’s development cooperation program and related Policy Section activities. The Officer will also support the Embassy’s engagement with the Royal Government of Cambodia, including arranging development cooperation program site visits and events, arranging high level meetings, reporting on ODA expenditure, liaising with other development partners and coordinating aid program briefing.   This position is available immediately, and after an initial three-month probationary period, the successful candidate may be offered a 24-month contract, with the possibility of renewal and ultimately permanent employment.   The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications, or knowledge and experience, in international/community development, program management including in financial/contract management or a related field.   The candidate should be fluent in spoken and written English and Khmer, have a good understanding of the Cambodian Government and development context, and have a good knowledge of MS Office applications.   A competitive salary package is offered, including participation in a performance management and bonus scheme. The basic monthly salary range for the position is USD864 to USD1,090.   The specific requirements of the role may be adjusted slightly to reflect the skills and interests of the successful applicant. Unsuccessful candidates who reach the interview stage, and meet the requirements of the position, will be included on a merit list.
