Duties and responsibilities
The Finance, Administration and Human Resource Manager (FAHM) is responsible for leading HR, administration and finance processes of the country office. Together with the Programme Manager you are part of the management that is lead by the Country Manager.
Financial Management
• Responsible for ensuring quality delivery to budgetary and financial management
• Lead the budgeting process in close collaboration with the country manager, the program team and HO in Sweden
• Ensure that appropriate financial management routines and systems are in place; including financial steering documents/manuals from head office are adhered to and applied in the country office
• Verify expenses and supporting document of all financial transactions, and approve expense within approved-limited authorization
• Support the country manager in ensuring financial compliance and reporting to donors within the timeline
• Oversee all financial and logistical needs of the programmes and ensuring that external financial obligations are fulfilled
• Do spot checks on transactions with a responsibility towards maintaining transparency and accountability within finance and administration reports and reviewing audits
• Manage and coordinate audit related work including monitoring local audits of partner organisations and ensuring that audit remarks are systematically followed up with clear action plans
• Ensuring that financial spot checks are carried out on partner levels during field visits and that these are well documented with related action plans
• Verify and assess partners budget proposals and grants disbursement, in collaboration with Grant Management Officer, Program Manager and Program Officers
• Prepare, verify and update grant agreements
Requirements for the position
• At least five years of work experience and successfully managing a diverse team
• BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant education background
• Sound financial understanding and several years of experience of budgeting and financial administration
• Previous work experience with international organizations will be considered an asset
