PUBLIC DIPLOMACY OFFICER AND
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE AMBASSADOR

 
The Australian Embassy in Phnom Penh invites applications for the position of Public Diplomacy Officer and Executive Assistant to the Ambassador for a start date as soon as possible.
 
The terms of employment will be in accordance with the Phnom Penh-based Locally Engaged Terms and Conditions of Employment. Employment will be offered on a contract basis, for an initial period of one year with possible extension, with a monthly salary of USD1,193 to USD1,508. An additional salary component may apply depending on the skills/qualifications of the successful candidate. Continued employment is subject to successful completion of a 3 month probation period.
 
Job Description
 
Public Diplomacy Officer and Executive Assistant to the Ambassador supports the Ambassador through management of the Ambassador’s schedule, travel, contacts and administration, including the coordination between the Ambassador and attached agencies. The position also supports First Secretary Political to plan and implement the Embassy’s public diplomacy agenda.
 
Security designated position
 
This position is a Designated Security Assessment Position (DSAP), the occupant will need to obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance. Applicants must be Australian Citizens to satisfy security requirements.
