  The World Bank office in Cambodia is looking for a dynamic, committed and capable individual to work as Senior Environmental Specialistin the Cambodia Country Officein Phnom Penh. This is a locally recruited position with a renewable 3-year contract.   The Sr. Environment Specialist will have responsibilities in four key areas:   • Environmental Risk Management. Based on the environmental safeguard spolicies and the new Environmental and Social Framework: i) advise Client on the requirements of environmental safeguard policies to guide them on delivering project-environmental safeguards documentation; ii) assist the Client’s preparation of safeguard documents and implementation of safeguard procedures to meet the Bank’s requirements; (iii) work with technical colleagues to understand technical project proposals and identify environmental issues as well as management solutions at early stage of project; (iv) prepare Bank internal safeguards documents; (v) monitor andsupervise client’s compliance with environmental commitments during project implementation; (vi) promote knowledge sharing and experience exchangeon safeguard issues.   • Pollution Management. Participate in sector dialogue and investment lending on pollution and waste management.   • Environment Sector Dialogue. Effectively engage and communicate with stakeholders including government counterparts, development partner community and NGOs, and other local agencies and organizations onthe World Bank activities in the environment sector in Cambodia.   • Knowledge and Capacity Building.
