During the meeting, what kind of clothes do you like your girlfriend or boyfriend to wear?

Ms. Chan Keopaharith, 22, student at Royal University of Law and Economics
“Clothes for men are generally less complicated than for women. At the same time, it’s a problem if men don’t prepare themselves well. I like my boyfriend to wear shorts and a T-shirt with sneakers if we’re headed to the gym. Also, when he wears shorts, he looks so handsome to me! If we’re meeting at a restaurant, however, I love when he’s still in his work clothes - it feels very high class.”

Mr. Mao Siha, 25, employee in a private company
“Clothing depends on the circumstance. Going out for a walk, I think it looks really cool when my girlfriend wears short jeans and a T-shirt. If going to a restaurant, I like her to wear something formal but simple - a shirt with trousers, for instance. I like the colours white and pink, and I love a woman who wears heels.”

Ms. Meas Keovorleak, 22, student at Beltie International Institute
“I like my boyfriend to wear trousers, either jeans or cloth. Either a shirt or T-shirt is fine by me. I like his clothes to be modern and cool - the shirt and pants should work together to make him look handsome. I hate when people dress like a DJ. I like my boyfriend to dress simple because I’m a simple girl.”

Ms. Chan Nary, 22, student at Human Resource School
“The way people dress is very important; it tells us about who they are. Clothes can make a guy look very charming, and I love when my boyfriend wears simple pants and a T-shirt. I don’t like when he wears shorts - it’s too informal. I don’t care too much about the colour, as long as it compliments his skin. I always want him to wear shoes and a belt.”

Mr. Sim Bory, 25, student at Royal University of Law and Economics

“I like when my girlfriend wears simple clothes - not too modern, but enough to look cool. Shorts are great. I really love when she wears a white or pink T-shirt. When other guys look at her because of how she’s dressed, I admit I sometimes feel jealous. But I think girls feel that if a guy likes them, he wouldn’t want them to dress too sexy. If the guy just wants to play with her, he won’t care what she wears and will just keep her as a toy to boast about to other guys.”
