11 New banknote

A new Khmer bank-note worth 100,000 riel has been released. This new note features a picture of King Father Norodom Sihanouk, who is considered the hero of Cambodia. This news proved to be tremendously popular on Facebook and gained over 1,000 likes.

According to the comments, many are surprised and happy to see the picture of the King Father on the banknotes.

Mana Do said “I love our king!”

ClutChz AZ: “Lol 25$ in Cambodia I proudly spend in a minute lol”

On the other hand, a few people see the political side of the new banknotes.

Yun Vattey said: “Why the need to publish new currency? Cambodia always has new currency different from Vietnam country; living 3 years in VN, I’ve never seen the new currency released.”

People always think in different ways, of course, and no one can blame anyone else simply for having a different opinion.
