16 hurt in road accident

Six monks and 10 Buddhist followers were injured when a truck belonging to their pagoda overturned in Kampong Thom province on Wednesday.

Tem Chheng Lang, a police officer in Kampong Svay district, where the accident occurred, said yesterday 24 people had been aboard the truck when it collided with another truck.

“One of the monks broke his arm, while others were seriously and slightly injured,” he said.
