Eighty-five per cent of the country's 158,000 teachers and educational staff have been vaccinated against Covid-19 as schools are set to reopen in the near future with the community outbreak subsiding.
Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport spokesman Ros Soveachar told The Post on May 22 that the ministry has held meetings and worked out a strategy to resume classes after the end of the February 20 outbreak.
The strategy, he said, focused on health and safety in the education sector in compliance with preventive measures in the context of Covid-19.
For the time being, students across the country have to continue distance learning and abide by preventive health measures including the "three protections and three don’ts".
