ACU delegation set for G20 anti-corruption forum

ACU delegation set for G20 anti-corruption forum

A delegation of Cambodia's Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) is set to attend the first meeting of the Group of 20 (G20) Anti-Corruption Working Group (G20 ACWG), under the presidency of Indonesia and co-chaired by Australia.

The meeting will be held in a virtual format on March 28-31 from the Indonesian capital Jakarta. The Cambodian delegation of seven officials will be led by Orn Panhha, assistant to the ACU.

According to the ACU press statement, as a side event of the G20 ACWG meeting, the delegation will also attend a session of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Global Anti-Corruption and Integrity Forum via a similar virtual format on March 31.

“The Group of 20 countries is an intergovernmental forum comprised of 19 countries and the EU that works to address major issues related to the global economy such as international financial stability, climate change mitigation and sustainable development,” the statement said.

The G20 members are Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the US, UK and EU.

The OECD is an international economic organisation with 38 member countries, formed to stimulate economic progress and world trade.
