An appeal was filed Tuesday in the case of five Chi Kraeng commune villagers who were acquitted earlier this month on charges that they illegally detained two men from neighbouring Anlong Samnor commune in November 2008 in connection with an ongoing land dispute. “I filed a complaint to the appeal court to show that we cannot accept the provincial court’s decision,” said Sok Hay, the lawyer for the two men from Anlong Samnor.
