Arrest for rape of minor

A man who allegedly raped a nine-year-old girl last month was sent to Phnom Penh Municipal Court yesterday, Ouch Sokhon, chief of the Chamkarmorn district police said. The suspect, 29-year-old Im Vicheth, was arrested on Tuesday in Daun Penh district’s Wat Phnom commune after the victim’s family filed a complaint. Police believe the suspect repeatedly raped the girl after coming to visit her family last week.
