The ASEAN-Korea Centre on September 27 unveiled ASEAN tourism promotional videos in commemoration of World Tourism Day. These videos showcase various destinations not only in Cambodia but also in other ASEAN nations.

The centre, which is responsible for fostering Korean-ASEAN relations, said in a press release that the video series is designed to introduce the cultural richness and tourism offerings of ASEAN. Additionally, they seek to enhance collaboration in the field of tourism between ASEAN and Korea.

“Continuing from the 2022 video releases, which showcased Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand under the theme of ‘Architecture and Culture Tour,’ this year’s videos will shine a spotlight on the architecture and way of life in Cambodia, Indonesia, and Vietnam,” stated the release, adding that each five-minute video focuses on architecture in two cities of each country.

“For Cambodia, the video introduces the architecture and culture of Phnom Penh, the nation’s economic, commercial, cultural and tourist centre, once hailed as the ‘Pearl of Asia.’ Additionally, it explores Kampot, a coastal town renowned for its production of pepper, durian and salt,” detailed the release.

The videos also showcase modern Cambodian architectural wonders in Phnom Penh, including the National Sports Complex and Phsar Thmey. In Kampot, they feature the Bokor Palace, which exemplifies the creativity shaping Cambodia’s future.

This year’s releases similarly delve into the architecture, culture, and popular places of Indonesia and Vietnam. The “ASEAN Familiarisation Tour” was initiated in 2019. These videos will be accessible on its youtube channel.
