Six homes were destroyed in a blaze that spread through Kandal province’s Takhmao town during the early hours of yesterday. Commune chief Cheam Khoy said yesterday 10 fire trucks had transported water to the blaze 29 times in order to put it out. The fire began at 12.30am on Sunday and was extinguished at 2am. “We were worried because the fire was near a petrol station, but the authorities stopped it,” he said. Police are investigating the case and the total damage caused.
