Speed cameras are to be installed on four national roads and other main thoroughfares in a move to reduce the appalling death toll on the Kingdom's roads.

Minister of Public Works and Transport Sun Chanthol on Tuesday said cameras will be mounted on National Roads 3, 31, 41 and 33, as well as along other important routes, with drivers caught speeding to be fined.

“Speed cameras will help reduce traffic accidents on our roads caused by excessive speed. Police officers will fine offenders found breaking the speed limit at their home," Chanthol said.
