Germany has pledged US$4.3 million to the Khmer Rouge tribunal,
bringing the country's overall contribution to the court to $10
million. In a statement Friday, the German embassy said it regards the
tribunal as "an important step towards trying the atrocities committed
by the Khmer Rouge".
