Kampong Thom police said Tuesday that they are still hunting for a suspect in connection with the shooting death of a Sam Rainsy Party member in Kampong Thom province last Thursday. Provincincial police Chief Phan Sopheng told the Post that police believe the suspect is also an SRP member, and that he is hiding in Kampong Thom's Kampong Svay district. SRP lawmaker and spokesman Yim Sovann said that regardless of the suspect's identity, he hoped that authorities would search for the killer in a neutral manner.
