A government adviser on border issues travelled Tuesday to Bangkok for a meeting with his Thai counterpart, top border negotiator Var Kimhong told the Post Monday. Neang Phat, who is also a secretary of state at the Defence Ministry, was scheduled to attend meetings that were expected to last through today, Var Kimhong said.
