The Ministry of Health on April 12 reported the country's 30th Covid-19 death and another 277 transmission cases linked to the February 20 community outbreak.

The 277 include one Vietnamese and nine Chinese nationals, with the rest being Cambodian.

Phnom Penh recorded the most cases at 204, followed by Svay Rieng at 43, Kandal at 23, Pursat at three, Prey Veng at two, and one each in Preah Sihanouk and Takeo.

The ministry also reported 60 recoveries, all but one of which were linked to the February 20 outbreak.

The latest deceased patient, identified as a 61-year-old Cambodian woman residing in Prek Pnov commune of Phnom Penh's Prek Pnov district, tested positive on March 30 and died while undergoing treatment at Luong Mer Hospital – formerly a private hospital which the government has recently purchased and turned into another state-run Covid-19 treatment facility.
