The Ministry of Health on February 26 recorded 44 more cases of Covid-19, with 40 linked to the February 20 community transmission, bringing the cluster cases to 234 in less than a week.

In a press release, the ministry said the four imported cases include one Cambodian UN peacekeeper who arrived from Africa via India on February 21; one Indonesian who arrived from her home country via Singapore on February 23; and two Chinese women who arrived in Cambodia on February 11.

Of the 40 cases linked to the February 20 community transmission, seven are Chinese nationals staying in Preah Sihanouk province who tested positive while seeking required health certificates on February 24 to return to their home country.

Four other cases are Chinese nationals staying in Phnom Penh whose Covid-19 tests came back positive while seeking the required health certificates on February 24.

The other 29 include six Vietnamese nationals, one Malaysian and two Cambodians, with the rest being Chinese.

The latest cases bring the Kingdom's Covid-19 tally to 741, with 262 receiving ongoing treatment.
