The Ministry of Health on April 3 recorded the country's 19th Covid-19 fatality after another patient died while undergoing treatment at Chak Angre Health Centre in Phnom Penh.

The deceased patient, a 48-year-old South Korean man residing in the capital, was first admitted to Cambodia-China Friendship Preah Kossamak Hospital on March 31 and tested positive for Covid-19 later that day.

He was then transferred to the health centre and put on a ventilator when his condition worsened.

Despite medical specialists' attempts to save his life, the man died from acute respiratory distress syndrome and pneumonia on April 2.
