The Consumer Protection, Competition and Fraud Repression Directorate-General (CCF) under the Ministry of Commerce and in collaboration with the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ), provided training on market competition law implementation to improve the capacity of CCF investigating officials.
The training kicked off on September 16 at CCF headquarters in Phnom Penh.
CCF said in a social media post that this training would increase the human resources capacity of CCF officials and members of the competition commission in implementing the market competition law. The training shared experiences and knowledge from Australia as presented by Professor Ray Steinwall of the University of New South Wales.
The training contributes to the “strengthening of this young institution in improving itself through the effective implementation of completion law, the evaluation of the impacts of vertical constraint and other violations and activities that create unfair market advantages,” the CCF said.
