The Chinese Embassy donated $13,900 worth of gymnastics equipment to the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) at an Olympic Stadium ceremony on July 16. Chinese Ambassador Zhang Jinfeng said that the handover symbolizes the friendship between Cambodia and China and that she hopes the equipment will help to improve the quality of gymnastics in Cambodia. “This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and China,” Jinfeng said during the handover ceremony. “In the next half year, Chinese representatives from the table tennis team, the martial arts team and the basketball team will come to Cambodia for friendly matches.”
