EK Sonn Chan, head of the Phnom Penh Water Supply Authority, was awarded the 2010 Stockholm Water Industry Award in Sweden yesterday. The PPWSA today successfully supplies 90 percent of Phnom Penh without subsidies, the award’s jury said in a statement. Ek Sonn Chan called the PPWSA “an important role model for the development of our nation”.
