Commanders meet on border situation

Cambodian and Thai military commanders met at the border on Thursday to discuss ways to decrease tensions along the frontier, said Chea Dara, RCAF deputy commander in chief. He said that he and Srey Doek, commander of RCAF Division 3, met with Thai military commander Veevarit Chornsamrit on the Thai side of the border for more than an hour. “We are meeting to discuss cooperation between the two sides so we can avoid armed clashes,” Chea Dara said.
