Drug sting in Kratie nets meth

Anti-drug officers took down a dealer in a sting operation on Friday in Kratie province’s Bos Leav commune.

Stung Treng province anti-drugs chief Chem Phanit said Sunday that the suspect, Phin Khunrith, 41, had been under investigation before the arrest.

Originally, the deal was supposed to happen in Stung Treng, but Khunrith changed the location multiple times.

Upon Khunrith’s arrest, police confiscated a 1kg packet of methamphetamine. Preliminary documents have been filed in the case and he has been sent to court.
