Twenty-six former Khmer Rouge families said yesterday that a Phnom Penh businesswoman had taken over roughly 58 hectares of their farmland in Kampot province’s Teuk Chhou district. Khut Kheng, a representative of the families, said employees of Heav Lon fenced off the land earlier this month, preventing them from accessing property they had lived on since 1983. Heav Lon could not be reached for comment. Provincial and deputy governors declined to comment.
