The Kandal Provincial Administration has ordered four factories temporarily shut after more than 30 workers there tested positive for Covid-19.

Provincial governor Kong Sophorn told The Post on April 24 that two of the factories are located in Ang Snuol district and the others in Muk Kampoul district.

"The number of workers at the four factories vary, ranging from 900 to 3,000 each. More than 30 tested positive last night and have been hospitalised," he said.

Sophorn said many more workers had their samples taken for Covid-19 testing and would be quarantined for 14 days
