Higher prices for aviation fuel have resulted in increased freight prices for
consumers. DHL announced that as of November 1 it would levy an extra 2 percent
fuel surcharge on all shipments from Cambodia. Nestor Tan, the country head of
Shell, said tensions over a possible US-led conflict with Iraq were to blame. He
said those customers who had signed moving price fuel contracts had been hit by
the jump in oil prices.
