Funcinpec replaces MP

Funcinpec has replaced Pursat MP Ly Thuch, who resigned from the party to join

the Cambodian People's Party (CPP). Funcinpec spokesman, Nouv Sovathero, told

local media his party had chosen Say Mongkol to occupy the Pursat MP seat.

Sovathero said that according to the law, any party member who leaves the party

to join another must forfeit his party position. But after joining CPP Ly Thuch

can still maintain his position as the vice-president of the National Committee

for Disaster Management.
