Cambodia Self Help Demining (CSHD) cleared and removed more than 1,200 mines and UXOs from 338,708sqm of agriculture land in four provinces in the northern part of Cambodia in the first half of this year, a report obtained by The Post yesterday said.

The report said between January and June, the CSHD team removed a total of 157 anti-personnel mines and 65 UXOs, clearing nine minefields located in Siem Reap, Banteay Meanchey, Pursat, and Preah Vihear provinces.

A total of 338,708sqm of land were made safe over 140 days of clearance, and the land released for agriculture use.
