The Cambodian Centre for Human Rights (CCHR) has applauded the “tough love” of the United States, which has suspended a shipment of military trucks in retaliation for the deportation of 20 ethnic Uighur asylum seekers to China last year. “The CCHR commends the US’s stance and calls on all countries that value democracy and human rights to use their leverage to promote and protect human rights in Cambodia,” the group said in a statement Tuesday.
