Hun Sen gifts 7 millionth vaccinee

Cambodia's Covid-19 vaccination drive has reached another significant milestone, with the seventh million vaccinee identified late on July 28.

“Congratulations to grandmother Chan Khim, a resident of Kanthrok village in Siem Reap province’s Svay Dangkum commune, on becoming the seven millionth person to get vaccinated against Covid-19,” Prime Minister Hun Sen announced in his Facebook post late on July 28.

“[Ministry of Health spokeswoman] Or Vandine will bring 10 million riel [$2,500] and additional gifts to you directly. I wish you happiness and prosperity,” he said.
